What to Expect on Sunday
Our Worship
We employ a traditional Christian worship service in our beautiful meetinghouse built in 1827.
We sing hymns during the service lead by the graceful pipe organ. We also pray various prayers during the service to interact with the Lord God in various ways. We also are encouraged by the public reading of Scripture.
You will see people dress more formally as well as people dressed casually.
Our Preaching
Our preaching is heavy on the Biblical text, expository in nature, and applicable to our modern situations. Our pastor preaches a New Testament book for the duration and then an Old Testament book. This is to feed the congregation from the entire word of God thus demonstrating the unity of God revelation us His people. From time to time there may be a topical sermon preached.
Our Christian Walk
We recognize the powerful relationship each Christian has with the Lord Almighty. As a result, we are called to walk in the ways commanded to us by our Lord Jesus. These include but are not limited to: fellowship, worship, discipleship, prayer, giving, and service to our church and others. We enjoy these benefits given to us in various ways through each month and seek maturity in Christ as we practice our faith.
